Karate Canada, in partnership with Karate BC is hosting the 40th edition of the National Championships at the Richmond Olympic Oval. This also happens to be the 50th Celebration of Karate Canada as the federation bringing Karate together in Canada.

ViaSport is proud to partner with Karate Canada and Karate BC to live-stream the 2015 Championships, the second of a series of four editions that will all take place at the Olympic Oval annually between 2014 and 2017. This event will bring together high profile athletes and expects to draw spectators and participants from all over the country, as the nation’s best talents take to the rings.

This edition will have a very distinct flavor as it’s the last national competition before the Pan Am Games Qualifier (March 2015 in Toronto), and it will be one of the last opportunities for athletes to earn points towards National Team selection and the opportunity to represent our country at the Toronto 2015 Pan American and Parapan American Games 2015 in July. This event will also feature the first edition of the Youth Cup and competition featuring para-athletes.
