1st Baku 2015 European Games

The first European Games will take place in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, in summer of 2015. A total of 20 sports will be rep…resented: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports. The Games were designed by and are to be regulated by The European Olympic Committees (EOC).

The launch of the Games was announced at the 41st General Assembly of the European National Olympic committees in Rome, on December 8, 2012.

It is expected that more than 6000 athletes will compete in the first European Games. Athletes will be selected and managed by their respective National Olympic Committee (NOC).
