El desarrollo del karate y el apoyo que el deporte recibe en Japón fueron evaluados durante la reunión que el presidente de la WKF, Antonio Espinós, celebró con el jefe de los asuntos de la Dieta del Partido Demócrata Liberal, Wataru Takeshita.

La reunión tuvo lugar en Tokio durante la visita de cuatro días que el jefe del cuerpo directivo internacional del karate ha hecho a la nación de nacimiento del deporte. El jefe de asuntos de la dieta de LDP y ministro anterior para la reconstrucción Wataru Takeshita discutió el futuro del deporte con Espinós mientras que el líder de WKF prometió trabajar incansablemente para levantar el perfil de la disciplina en Japón y alrededor del mundo. El Sr. Espinós también declaró el objetivo de la organización deportiva para alentar a más personas de todas las edades y géneros a participar en la antigua disciplina que se originó en Japón.

The development of Karate and the support that the sport receives in Japan were assessed during the meeting that WKF President Antonio Espinós held with Liberal Democratic Party Diet affairs chief Wataru Takeshita.

The meeting took place in Tokyo during the four-day visit that the head of Karate’s international governing body has done to the birth nation of the sport. LDP Diet affairs chief and former Minister for Reconstruction Wataru Takeshita discussed the future of the sport with Mr. Espinós as the WKF leader pledged to work tirelessly to raise the profile of the discipline in Japan and around the world. Mr. Espinós also stated the goal of the sport organisation to encourage more people of all ages and genders to engage in the ancient discipline which was originated in Japan.

“It was an honour to meet Mr. Takeshita and be given the opportunity to debate about the future of Karate with such key Legislature member. I am very pleased about the prospect of the sport here in Japan, and I am convinced that Karate will continue receiving tremendous support from the highest authorities in the country as the discipline continues its expansion in years to come,” said WKF President Antonio Espinós.
