Los mejores karatekas del mundo están listos para escribir un episodio nuevo y emocionante en la historia del deporte esta semana. El espectáculo y todos los valores del Karate se mostrarán en Wroclaw (Polonia), ya que los nuevos héroes del deporte serán coronados en la edición de 2017 prevista para los Juegos Mundiales.

Esto es todo lo que necesitas saber para seguir la competencia de Karate en los Juegos Mundiales:

CUANDO. El evento de Karate se celebrará el martes y el miércoles

DÓNDE. El concurso de Karate se llevará a cabo en GEM Sport Complex. El campo de juego estará formado por dos tatamis.

CÓMO. Noventa y seis atletas competirán en las 12 categorías en disputa siguiendo las regulaciones de WKF.

MODALIDADES. Las modalidades de Kata y Kumite individuales estarán representadas en los Juegos Mundiales. No habrá competencia por equipos

CATEGORÍAS. La competición Kumite comprende las categorías -50kg, -55kg, -61kg, -68kg y +67kg para las mujeres, y -60kg, -67kg, -75kg, -84kg y + 84kg para los hombres, además de kata masculino y femenino individual .

Medallas Un total de 36 medallas serán otorgadas en el evento de Karate en los Juegos Mundiales, 18 para los hombres y 18 para las mujeres.

Los países representados en los Juegos Mundiales son Australia, Austria, Azerbaiyán, Brasil, Chile, Croacia, Dinamarca, Egipto, Fiji, Francia, Georgia, Grecia, Hungría, Irán, Italia, Japón, Kazajstán, Montenegro, Marruecos, Países Bajos, Nueva Zelandia, Perú, Polonia, Arabia Saudita, Eslovaquia, España, Suiza, Taipei Chino, Turquía, Ucrania, Estados Unidos y Venezuela.

COMPETICIÓN KUMITE. En Kumite, la duración de los combates es de tres minutos para la competencia masculina y dos minutos para las categorías femeninas. El resultado de una pelea es determinado por un competidor obteniendo una ventaja clara de ocho puntos, o teniendo el mayor número de puntos en el tiempo-up. Los puntos se otorgan tras la sucesión de Ippon (tres puntos), Waza-Ari (dos puntos) y Yuko (un punto)

COMPETENCIA DE KATA. En kata, los concursantes realizarán un conjunto diferente de patrones coreografiados de movimientos – o kata – en cada ronda. Después del kata, los jueces votarán declarando así al ganador según la excelencia en el desempeño.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT KARATE AT THE WORLD GAMES

 

The best karatekas in the world are ready to write a new and thrilling episode in the history of the sport this week. The showmanship and all the values of Karate will be displayed in Wroclaw (Poland) as the new heroes of the sport will be crowned at the anticipated 2017 edition of The World Games.

This is all you need to know to follow the Karate competition at The World Games:

WHEN. The Karate event will be celebrated Tuesday and Wednesday

WHERE. The Karate competition will be held at GEM Sport Complex. The field of play will be formed by two tatamis.

HOW. Ninety-six athletes will compete in the 12 categories in contention following WKF regulations.

MODALITIES. The modalities of individual Kata and Kumite will be represented at The World Games. There will be no team competition

 

CATEGORIES. The Kumite competition comprises the categories of -50kg, -55kg, -61kg, -68kg and +67kg for women, and -60kg, -67kg, -75kg, -84kg and +84kg for men, in addition to male and female individual kata.

MEDALS. A total of 36 medals will be awarded at the Karate event at The World Games, 18 for men and 18 for women.

KUMITE COMPETITION. In Kumite, the duration of the bouts is three minutes long for male competition and two minutes for female categories. The result of a bout is determined by a contestant obtaining a clear lead of eight points, or having the highest number of points at time-up. The points are awarded following the succession of Ippon (three points), Waza-Ari (two points) and Yuko (one point)

KATA COMPETITION. In kata, contestants will perform a different set of choreographed patterns of movements – or kata – in each round. After the kata, judges will vote thus declaring the winner according to excellence in performance.
