European Universities Karate Championship 2017 / Campeonato Universitario de Karate Europeo 2017

A punto del evento de  Karate Universitario Europeo 2017, que se celebrará en julio, en Coimbra, Portugal, del 25 al 27. Este es uno de los 19 Campeonatos Universitarios Europeos 2017 (EUC 2017), donde 19 deportes diferentes promueven la competición para encontrar los mejores atletas y equipos europeos en Universidades Deportivas.

Dos años después del Karate EUC 2015, celebrado en Zabljak, en Montenegro, Coimbra es la ciudad anfitriona de este evento, así como el EUC 2017 en Taekwondo y Judo. Ambos tendrán lugar al mismo tiempo que el Karate EUC 2017.

La competición se desarrollará en el Pabellón 1 del Complejo Deportivo Universitario de Coimbra, en el centro de la ciudad. El local se renovó en los últimos meses y está listo para recibir casi 250 atletas que competirán en este Campeonato. El Karate EUC 2017 también contará con unos 40 funcionarios y tendrá competencia masculina y femenina. 50 voluntarios también serán clave para el éxito del evento.

Cerca de 27 países europeos y 230 universidades de estos países competirán para convertirse en campeones de estos tres Campeonatos Universitarios Europeos que se celebrarán en Coimbra. Los tres eventos de la EUC ocurren un año antes de los Juegos Universitarios Europeos que también tendrán lugar en la Ciudad Universitaria de Coimbra.

We are less than a month away from the start of the European Universities Karate 2017, to be held in July, in Coimbra, Portugal, from the 25th to the 27th. This is one of the 19 European Universities Championships 2017 (EUC 2017), where 19 different sports promote the competition to find the best european athletes and teams in Universities Sport.

Two years after the EUC 2015 Karate, held in Zabljak, in Montenegro, Coimbra is the host city of this event, as well as the EUC 2017 in Taekwondo and Judo. Both will take place at the same time of the EUC 2017 Karate.

The competition will happen in Pavillion 1 of Coimbra’s University Sport Complex, in the city centre. The venue was renewed in the last months and is ready to receive almost 250 athletes that will compete in this Championship. The EUC 2017 Karate will also have about 40 officials and will have both male and female competition. 50 volunteers will also be key to the success of the event.

About 27 European countries and 230 universities of these countries will compete to become champions of these three European Universities Championships to be held in Coimbra. The three EUC events happen one year before the European Universities Games which will also take place in the University City of Coimbra.
