El notable progreso de Karate en todo el mundo se afirma en la nueva edición de Karate 1-Series A. Creada en 2017 para ofrecer más oportunidades para que los mejores karatekas compitan al más alto nivel, Karate 1-Series A tiene como objetivo continuar la expansión del deporte con campeonatos abiertos de escala y calidad sin precedentes.

La Federación Mundial de Karate reveló el 2018 Karate 1-Series A. La nueva edición del evento de primera clase de Karate comenzará en Guadalajara (España) en febrero y concluirá en Shangai (China) en diciembre. El 2018 Karate 1-Series A también viajará a Salzburgo (Austria) en marzo y a Santiago (Chile) en septiembre.

Dos nuevos lugares se están incorporando a la competencia superior de Karate. El 2018 Karate 1-Series A alcanza nuevos niveles con la celebración de torneos en China y Chile, llevando el Karate de alta categoría a los dos principales países en desarrollo del deporte. Si bien la organización de los torneos Karate 1-Series A en Shanghai y Santiago amplía la universalidad del evento e incorpora un continente más a la lista de sedes Karate 1-Series A, estas competiciones también garantizan que los atletas de Asia y Sudamérica tendrán el oportunidad de competir y aumentar su posición en el Ranking Mundial WKF.

La inclusión de Karate 1-Series A en Shanghai y Santiago responde a los crecientes intereses de los anfitriones para organizar las mejores competiciones de Karate. Además, la adición de los dos nuevos lugares se produce desde que dos anfitriones de la edición de este año formarán parte del 2018 Karate 1-Premier League. Tras su exitosa participación en Karate 1-Series A 2017, los torneos en Turquía y Japón se incluyeron en la Karate 1-Premier League 2018 con torneos que se celebrarán en Estambul y Tokio, respectivamente.

The World Karate Federation unveiled the 2018 Karate 1-Series A. The new edition of Karate’s first-class event is due to begin in Guadalajara (Spain) in February and will conclude in Shanghai (China) in December. The 2018 Karate 1-Series A will also travel to Salzburg (Austria) in March and to Santiago (Chile) in September.

Two new venues are being incorporated into Karate’s top competition. The 2018 Karate 1-Series A reaches new levels with the celebration of tournaments in China and Chile thus taking high-class Karate to two top developing countries in the sport. While the organisation of Karate 1-Series A tournaments in Shanghai and Santiago expands the universality of the event and incorporates one more continent to the list of Karate 1-Series A venues, these competitions also guarantee that athletes in Asia and South America will have the opportunity to compete and to increase their position in WKF World Ranking.

The inclusion of Karate 1-Series A in Shanghai and Santiago responds to the growing interests of hosts to organise top Karate competitions. Besides, the addition of the two new venues occurs ever since two hosts of this year’s edition will be part of 2018 Karate 1-Premier League. Following their successful participation in 2017 Karate 1-Series A, the tournaments in Turkey and Japan were included in 2018 Karate 1-Premier League with tournaments to be held in Istanbul and Tokyo respectively.
