INICIA UNA CITA OBLIGADA PARA EL DEPORTE UNIVERSITARIO DE AMÉRICA / A MUST MEET FOR AMERICAN UNIVERSITY SPORT STARTS

Con presencia confirmada de 10 países de América, comienza en Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, el primer “Congreso Panamericano del Deporte Universitario FISU América 2017”, el cual se celebrará del 24 al 26 de abril. Lo organizan FISU América, la Federación Venezolana Deportiva de Educación Universitaria, la Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez y el Comité Olímpico Venezolano, en conjunto con el Gobierno de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela y la Gobernación del Estado Anzoátegui.

Además del país organizador, participarán representantes de Argentina, Brasil, Canadá, Colombia, Cuba, Costa Rica, Honduras, República Dominicana, Suiza y Uruguay, para intercambiar sus experiencias y ampliar su conocimiento sobre los diferentes aspectos del entorno deportivo en el cual ellos funcionan. Se espera la presencia de 200 personas, entre directores de deportes, rectores, entrenadores, estudiantes atletas, representantes de organizaciones gubernamentales y personalidades ligadas al deporte universitario.

Se abordarán ejes como Gerencia Deportiva y Políticas Deportivas, Deporte y Desarrollo Humano, Antidopaje, Entrenamiento, Medicina y Psicología, entre otros. Habrá importantes ponencias nacionales e internacionales, que se extenderán durante tres días de intensa actividad.

El objetivo principal del Foro es de compartir ideas y conocimiento sobre problemas claves que se relacionan con el desarrollo de deporte y el deportista universitario en el continente americano, y mejorar el conocimiento de sus miembros sobre la misión de la FISU América y sus prioridades.

With confirmed presence of 10 American countries, in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, begins the first “Pan-American Congress of University Sport FISU America 2017 “, which will be held in Puerto La Cruz city, from April 24 to 26, 2017. It’s organized by FISU America, Venezuelan University Sport Federation, Simón Rodríguez Experimental National University, and Venezuelan Olympic Committee, together with the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Government of Anzoátegui State.

Beside the organizing country, there will be representatives from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Costa Rica, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Switzerland and Uruguay, to exchange their experience and expand their knowledge about the different aspects of the sports environment in which they work. The presence of 200 people is expected, among directors of sports, rectors, coaches, student athletes, Governmental organizations representatives and personalities linked to university sport.

The forum will include topics such as Sports Management and Sports Policies, Sports and Human Development, Anti-doping, Training, Medicine and Psychology, among others. There will be important national and international presentations, among three days of intense activity.

The main objective of the FISU America Forum is to share ideas and knowledge on key issues related to the development of sports and university athletes in the Americas, and to improve the knowledge of its members about the mission of FISU America and its priorities.
