Es para mí un gran honor poder comunicarte la confirmación de la decisión oficial adoptada por la Sesión del Comité Olímpico Internacional, celebrada en Rio de Janeiro, de incluir el Karate en el programa de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokyo 2020. La consecución de este trascendental objetivo, logrado con el trabajo y esfuerzo de todos, representa un motivo de orgullo y alegría que debemos compartir con nuestros afiliados.
En este contexto, considero de gran importancia que aprovechemos este trascendental momento para reforzar nuestra magnífica posición en el contexto deportivo mundial, trasladando de forma igual y homogénea a nuestro colectivo y a la sociedad en general una serie de conceptos y mensajes que contribuyan al crecimiento de nuestro deporte, de la WKF y de sus Federaciones Nacionales miembros (se envía en el documento adjunto)
Con el júbilo y la satisfacción de poder vivir este momento histórico, os envío un cordial saludo.

It is a great honour to inform you of the confirmation of the official decision made by the Session of the International Olympic Committee in Rio de Janeiro to include Karate in the program of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The achievement of this significant objective – which was obtained with the work and effort of all of us – represents a source of pride and joy that we should share with our affiliates.
In this context, I deem of great importance that we use this memorable moment to strengthen our excellent position in the global sports context, thus communicating to our associates and society in general in a unified and homogeneous way a number of concepts and messages in order to contribute to the growth of our sport, of the WKF and of its National Federations members (see the attached document)
With the joy and satisfaction of being able to live this historic moment, please receive my heartfelt greetings.
