REUNIÓN DEL COMITÉ EJECTIVO EKF REALIZADA EN SOFIA /EKF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD IN SOFIA

La reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de la Federación Europea de Karate celebrada el viernes en Sofía (Bulgaria) dio el tono para el memorable Campeonato 2017 EKF de Cadetes, Junior y Sub-21 y analizó el progreso del deporte en el continente.

Presidido por el presidente de la WKF y EKF, Antonio Espinós, la reunión se celebró antes del torneo que reunió a jóvenes competidores de toda Europa en la capital búlgara. Los temas tratados incluyeron revisar el calendario de competición de EKF, evaluar eventos próximos y ver informes de las diferentes comisiones de EKF, entre muchos otros.

En la reunión del Comité Ejecutivo de la EKF se centró mucho en los dos eventos de primera categoría más inmediatos que se celebrarán en Europa este año, a saber, el 52º Campeonato Europeo de EKF que tendrá lugar en Kocaeli (Turquía) del 4 al 7 de mayo, Y el XV Campeonato Europeo de Karate de la EKF para las Regiones que tendrá lugar en Pristina (Kosovo) del 3 al 4 de junio.

El Comité Ejecutivo también examinó las cuestiones financieras y evaluó el calendario de la competencia para los próximos años, ya que el órgano de dirección de la organización presentó el gran desarrollo del deporte en Europa bajo la dirección del Sr. Espinós.

EKF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING HELD IN SOFIA

The European Karate Federation Executive Committee meeting held in Sofia (Bulgaria) on Friday set the tone for the memorable 2017 EKF Cadet, Junior and U21 Championships and analysed the progress of the sport in the continent.

Chaired by WKF and EKF President Antonio Espinós, the meeting was held ahead of the tournament that gathered young competitors from all over Europe in the Bulgarian capital. Topics discussed included reviewing the EKF competition calendar, evaluating upcoming events and over viewing reports of the different EKF commissions, among many others.

Much focus in the meeting of the EKF Executive Committee was put on the two most immediate first-class events to be held in Europe this year, namely the 52nd EKF Senior European Championships to take place in Kocaeli (Turkey) from May 4 to 7, and the 15th EKF European Karate Championships for Regions to take place in Pristina (Kosovo) from June 3 to 4.

The Executive Committee also examined financial issues and evaluated the competition calendar for the next years, as the managing body of the organisation featured the great development of the sport in Europe under Mr. Espinós leadership.
