La clasificación olímpica del karate se ha actualizado y los karatekas de primera clase continúan en la cima de las ocho categorías olímpicas. Las diferencias entre las cuatro primeras posiciones clasificatorias se reducen a medida que se intensifica la búsqueda para ganar los boletos para Tokio 2020.

Los primeros cuatro atletas en la clasificación de cada una de las categorías olímpicas, junto con un karateka del país anfitrión calificarán para la competencia de Karate de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020. Después de la actualización de la clasificación, las categorías olímpicas están encabezadas por Ryo Kiyuna (JPN), Darkhan Assadilov (KAZ), Bahman Asgari Ghoncheh (IRI), Ugur Aktas (TUR), Sandra Sanchez (ESP), Serap Ozcelik (TUR), Xiaoyan Yin (CHN) e Irina Zaretska (AZE).

Karate’s Olympic standings have been updated, and first-class karatekas continue on top of the eight Olympic categories. The differences among the top four qualifying positions are being reduced as the quest to earn the tickets to Tokyo 2020 intensifies. 

The first four athletes in the standings of each one of the Olympic categories, together with one karateka from the host country will qualify for the Karate competition of the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. After the update of the standings, the Olympic categories are headed by Ryo Kiyuna (JPN), Darkhan Assadilov (KAZ), Bahman Asgari Ghoncheh (IRI), Ugur Aktas (TUR), Sandra Sanchez (ESP), Serap Ozcelik (TUR), Xiaoyan Yin (CHN), and Irina Zaretska (AZE).
