Día Internacional de Deporte Universitario 20 de septiembre International Day of University Sport: 20 September 

El Día Internacional de Deporte Universitario (UDI) se celebra anualmente el 20 de septiembre.  Está oficialmente aprobada por la Organización de las Naciones Unidas para la Educación, Ciencia y Cultura (UNESCO).
Entre otros, el día tiene por objeto confirmar la importancia del deporte en las universidades y el papel de las universidades en la comunidad como actores responsables para consolidar y desarrollar la calidad de la educación física y el deporte al servicio de los ciudadanos. Cada año el 20 de septiembre, gracias a su red de asociaciones de universidades, clubes y socios, la FISU movilizará el mundo académico. Los eventos propondrán actividades deportivas de ocio, concursos, talleres de discusión y eventos culturales a los ciudadanos de todas las edades.

The International Day of University Sport (IDUS) will be celebrated annually on 20 September. It is officially endorsed by the United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organisation (UNESCO).

Among others, the day aims at confirming the importance of sport in universities and the role of universities in the community as responsible actors for consolidating and developing quality physical and sport education at the service of citizens. Each year on 20 September, thanks to its network of university associations, clubs and partners, FISU will mobilise the academic world. The events will propose leisure sport activities, competitions, discussion workshops and cultural happenings to citizens of all ages.
